Livelihood and enterprise development training organised for technical staff

Prosperity project organised a series of four-day training on Livelihoods and Enterprise Development for Technical Officers (TOs) and Assistant Technical Officers (ATOs) of Livelihoods component.

As many as 127 participants, divided into six batches from all 19 partner organisations, took part in the training from 10 January 2022 to 23 March 2022. Officials of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) at PKSF conducted the training, which was organised at the training centres of partner organisations.

Divided into theoretical and practical sessions, the training imparted knowledge on the fundamentals of livelihood and enterprise development and held separate sessions on livestock, fisheries, agriculture, technical training and off-farm related income-generating activities.  

PIU officials also discussed a range of topics that include project objects and expected results, Prosperity Village Committee (PVC) management, disaster and climate change-related activities and responsibilities of TOs and ATOs.

As part of hands-on sessions, the trainees visited a number of farm and off-farm IGAs established by the project participants.
