PPEPP is designed to address the specific needs of extremely poor people with disabilities. Where possible, livelihoods opportunities will be tailored to their specific capabilities. PPEPP will seek to increase access to targeted social safety nets, where needed, to ensure basic needs are met and specific services are provided. Community level work will build social support for people with disabilities, and support national and local advocacy for increased access to basic services.
Jointly funded by the UK’s FCDO and the EU, the ‘Pathways to Prosperity for Extremely Poor People (PPEPP)’ -- in short ‘Prosperity’ -- program aims to lift two million marginalized people out of extreme poverty in the next 10 years.
