Prosperity’s livelihood component organised a livestock vaccination and de-worming campaign across the working area. Livestock (cow, goat, poultry, etc.) of the Prosperity participants and community people were provided with free de-worming medicines and vaccinations to prevent disease like Anthrax, PPR, FMD and HS.
This campaign is part of a series of vaccination campaigns conducted under the livelihood component for the participants and wider community in the programme area.
Participants are also sensitised about their livestock and poultry care during weekly PVC sessions and household visits. Field officials create awareness among participants about various issues such as livestock vaccination for disease prevention, making the livestock shed on a high and dry place, avoid damp environment and importance of regular vaccination and de-worming.
