The PPEPP-EU project celebrated International Women’s Day on 8 March 2025 across its 145 working unions. The day, celebrated under the theme “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights, Equality, Empowerment”, connected project participants, their family members, adolescent girls and boys and stakeholders from various levels to unlock equal rights, power and opportunities for all.

Rallies and events were organised through the project’s social platforms, including the Prosperity Village Committee (PVC), the Mother and Child Forum, and the Social Development Centre (for adolescents), which discussed the significance of Women’s Day, ensuring women’s rights, quality education for girls and the prevention of violence against women, among other topics.

Adolescent girls and boys actively participated in special Women’s Day activities, such as quiz competitions and designing wall magazines, posters, and festoons to raise awareness. Furthermore, PPEPP-EU’s implementing partners attended government-led programmes at the district and upazila levels, engaging in discussions with government and non-government officials, women leaders and local activists.
